Stretching Winter Fun
Once again we decided to stretch the x-country ski season a little bit more; this time we headed for the Saguenay region and spent two days hiking (not need for snowshoes; the snow on the trails was packed) in the national parks of Monts Valin and Fjord du Saguenay. After that we headed back for some x-country skiing at La Forêt Montmorency and at Camp Mercier. We also spent some time in Quebec City, walking around, looking at art galleries, and visiting the nanotechnology exhibit at the Musée de la Civilisation. We drove up in a snow storm, but we then had five consecutive days of beautiful weather. What a great vacation!
