Boston
Linda drove down to Boston to join me after SIGGRAPH. We had a great weekend exploring the city; we run into a great exhibit, Journeys of the Imagination, at The Boston Public Library, followed the Freedom Trail, shopped at Crate & Barrel with 6 year old gift certificates, discovered the Boston pubs, enjoyed strolling in Beacon Hill, had some really good dinners in the North End, and much more.
And to top the weekend off, we spent the last day driving up the coast, visiting Salem, and landing on a really nice beach at Manchester-on-the-Sea. All in great weather. Boy, was it strange resting on the beach, listening to the sound of the ocean at 5pm on a Sunday afternoon, and knowing that we had to be back in Montreal that same evening!
