These are scans of color slides I shot during a short trip to Washington, D.C. in mid-August of 1989. Paolo and I had not seen each other in a few years, so we decided to pick a spot between Ohio State U. and Cornell U. to get together; not good at North American geography, we picked Washington, D.C.
