Zion NP Redux
Back to Zion National Park once again. This time Linda and I parked the car at the hotel once we arrived and did not touch it again until a week later when we got in it to drive back to Las Vegas.
Exceptionally relaxing, but at the same time we did the best hikes of all our visits. West Rim Trail leaves the main valley and takes you to views and colors hard to find on the main short trails. Hidden Canyon Trail takes you through high exposure to a beautiful canyon where nature has played with color and form to create something really fantastic. Observation Point Trail takes you all the way up to the East Rim and to a sweeping view of Zion Valley that will leave you breathless; from up there, Angels Landing looks a little hump. Furthermore, these trails are long and hard enough to leave most tourist behind and let you enjoy the views in almost perfect peace.
What a place! I am already looking forward to going back for more.
