Here are a few shots of the completed Dutch tool chest loaded with all my metal planes. I will use it for a while before I decide on any internal partitions. #DutchToolChest #ToolChest #HandToolsOnly #Woodworking
The tool rack and pairing chisels tray for the Dutch tool chest are finished and finally in service. Moving all my chisels into the tool chest triggered a chain reaction, freeing a couple of drawers that I ended up filling with shaping and scraping tools, which in turn freed shelf space, and… I ended up reorganizing all my tools storage! #DutchToolChest #ToolChest #HandToolsOnly #Anigre #Poplar #Woodworking
Here is the sliding saw till sitting at the top of the upper compartment of the Dutch tool chest. I can slide it back and forth to access the bench planes underneath and when I close the chest I have to push it all the way back so it can fit under the lid. The saw till is actually an insert into a simple tray in case I decide to use the latter for something else later on. I had to special case the slot for the tenon saw so it could fit under the lid. The leftover space in the tray has become my favorite spot for my block plane. #DutchToolChest #ToolChest #HandToolsOnly #Anigre #Poplar #Woodworking
