The frame for the #SawBench is done; here I am doing a dry-run before glueing up the apron and stretcher to the leg assemblies; it really is starting to look like a mini Nicholson workbench :-) #woodworking
Change of plans. Originally I thought I would fasten the top of the #SawBench using 4” finishing nails through the top, but after a loud test on some scrap pine, I decided to go with dowels; that way the top will be cleaner and my neighbours will love me better. #woodworking
Glueing is always a bit of a panic moment for me. The joinery is always a bit too tight and once the glue adds its thickness, things never go as well as during the dry run. This time I ended up hammering the top of the #SawBench like crazy trying to get it to sit all the way down on the dowels, but it in the end, everything worked out. #woodworking
