Just finished cutting the holes for the front vise in the apron of #TheEnglishWorkbench. I decided to make a 1/4” deep slot for a hardwood block that will host the nut of the metal vise screw (the tail vise screw from Lee Valley). #woodworking #handtoolsonly
A friend of mine gifted me with these beautiful century-old cut nails. I really like using cut nails and have found it difficult to find any longer than 2”, so I sure these beauties will end up decorating #TheEnglishWorkbench. Thank you, André! #woodworking #handtoolsonly
I am using the clamps to squeeze the ends of the aprons of #TheEnglishWorkbench and take out the curve in the boards; then I will cut the cross bearers to length and they will keep the aprons in shape, ensuring I end up with less planing to do and with more thickness left. #woodworking #handtoolsonly
